April 2010 The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has hired Phillip F. Stambaugh as Regional Manager on Nantucket to coordinate the introduction of its financial services to the local community. He will make Nantucket residents aware of the full range of Cape Cod Five’s personal, residential, commercial and wealth management services. Many Nantucket residents already have a banking relationship with Cape Cod Five. Now, by hiring a member of the community, the Bank will be better positioned to serve them. Phil has more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry and served most recently in a senior management position with a local bank. He has always been active in the local community and currently serves as president and board member of the Community Foundation for Nantucket. Phil and his wife, Beverly, have summered on Nantucket for thirty-five years and have lived on Nantucket year-round since 2002. The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, with more than $1.9 billion in assets, is the largest independent bank on Cape Cod. It was founded in 1855 as a trust, operating for the benefit of its customers and their communities. Since then, its name and ownership have never changed, ensuring the continuity and stability its customers have come to expect. And today, as expressed in its advertising, Cape Cod Five remains "defiantly independent" - a mutual trust, with no stockholders. Thus, Cape Cod Five cannot be bought or sold.Cape Cod Five welcomes Phillip F. Stambaugh as Regional Manager on Nantucket
