Cape Cod Five to Collect Gifts of Food and Toys for Local Food Pantries
All of Cape Cod Five’s branch offices are collecting food and toys to be distributed by the local food pantries. There are special bins in each lobby for the receipt of these much needed gifts. Participating food pantries include Family Pantry, Falmouth Service Center, Lower Cape Outreach Council, Sandwich Food Pantry, Yarmouth Food Pantry, and the Nantucket Interfaith Council. Dorothy A. Savarese, Cape Cod Five’s President and CEO said that “as economic pressures continue to bear down on many of our neighbors, the need for assistance has grown considerably over the past few years. And since so many young children are affected at a time when toys top their wish list, we’re pleased to be able to make it easier for local residents to join in the spirit of giving and help others enjoy the holiday season.” The Bank will be collecting toys throughout the holiday season. As in past years, the Bank will continue collecting food on a year-round basis.
