The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust was founded in 1998, and is committed to serving the needs of the Cape Cod community. This private Foundation is funded by its namesake bank. Foundation Trustees are members of the Cape Cod Five Family of Trustees, Corporators and Employees.
Giving Purposes
The Foundation will consider grant requests for local non-profits for the purpose of supporting specific programs, projects and services they so capably deliver to and for peninsula residents.
The Foundation also supports Capital Campaigns of at least $250K, for non-profits purchasing or constructing a building. These requests are reviewed annually in late November.
Giving Categories
The Foundation considers grants from non-profits that provide Cape Residents services in the following areas:

Culture and Art (including historic heritage)

Human Need (including economic development)

Youth (including education, Teacher Mini-Grants)

Conservation and Environment
-
Elderly Services
Restrictions
The Foundation will not provide support for the following circumstances:

Organizations that are not tax-exempt under federal tax regulations

Religious organizations
-
Travel expenses, including school field trips

Social functions
-
Athletic events or activities
-
Individuals
-
General operating budgets
-
Annual membership or appeals
-
For organizations for re-granting
Geographic Interest
Funds from the Foundation must be used on Cape Cod and will only be granted to organizations based on Cape Cod.
