Use of the Internet Bank or Cape Cod Five BillPay will require Cape Cod Five to disclose personal information to third parties that assist in delivering these services. This information is retained by Cape Cod Five or the Bank's designated third parties in order to provide the customer with the requested service.
3. Bank Mail
Bank Mail is a secure form of E-mail located within the Internet Bank, which requires a UserID number and password to access. The Bank will retain a copy of all Bank Mail correspondence (including our response) in order to handle any follow-up questions the customer may have.
4. E-mail
Do not send confidential information to the Bank via e-mail. Confidential information should only be disclosed using Bank Mail, calling Cape Cod Five or by regular mail.
Maintaining Accurate Information
The bank is required by law to have procedures in place to ensure that customer financial information and history is accurate, current, and complete. The bank will not furnish information relating to a customer to any consumer reporting agency if we know or consciously avoid knowing that the information is inaccurate.
Limiting Employee Access to Information
Employee access to personally identifiable information is limited to those employees with a business reason to know such information about our customers. Bank management is directed to take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.

Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank offers Internet Banking and BillPay services to our customers. These services are accessed through an authentication process, which requires two codes, a User Identification Number and Password. Our security measures rely in part on these codes remaining confidential. Please do not share these codes or other personal identifiers with others.
Financial Aggregator Sites. Certain e-commerce sites may offer to provide services to you by accessing your accounts through our site. Cape Cod Five cannot guarantee the security of your account when you allow third parties to access your accounts. Please use caution when using financial aggregator sites. NEVER PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION TO A SITE THAT YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE AND FULLY TRUST.
YOU SHOULD KNOW: ALL transactions initiated by an aggregator site using access information you provided are considered to be authorized by you, whether or not you were aware of the specific transaction. You may revoke this authority only by notifying us in writing, and we may need to block your account until we issue new access codes.
Restrictions on Disclosing Information to Parties Other Than Affiliated Banks and Companies
The bank will not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to parties other than affiliated banks and companies for their independent use unless:
- The customer requests or authorizes it.
- The information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by the customer.
- The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.
- The disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required.
