Introducing electronic bills known as eBills. This newest edition to our online banking service allows you to receive bills online making the payment of your bills easier and more convenient. There are no fees for receiving eBills online.
After logging into your internet banking account, click on the Make Payments tab for your personal list of payees. Under the My Payees link, the payees that offer the electronic bill option are identified with a Set up e-Bills link under the eBill Status column. To begin using this feature, all you need to do is click on the Set up eBills link for the electronic bills you would like to receive.
Electronic bills are retrieved for you using two different methods:
-
We retrieve your electronic bill from the payee's website. In order for us to retrieve your bill information from the payee's website, you need to enroll for eBills at the payee's website first. We will ask you for the user ID and password you establish at your payee's website so that we can obtain your bill directly on your behalf. This allows you to view and pay your bills in one spot.
-
We retrieve your bill information through a direct relationship we have with the payee. When you set up a bill for a payee, you will be asked to provide information such as your last bill date or the amount and billing cycle. We use this information to validate your ownership of the account with the payee and to inform the payee that you have requested the eBill service with us.
All of the information that you provide is stored securely within the online banking application exclusively for use with the eBill retrieval service.
To view your bills, click on the My bills & scheduled payments link. Your new bill will be in your Bill Inbox. To pay your bills simply select the checkbox to the left of the payee name, then click the Schedule Payments button.
You have three choices on how to schedule your eBill payments:
-
Manual - An email alert is sent to you when a bill arrives, allowing you to review the bill and issue a payment. This is the default way to pay your bills presented online.
-
Recurring - You can establish a schedule for paying your bills for a fixed amount and frequency regardless of receiving a bill.
-
Automatic - You can set up your own rules for how to pay a bill when it is received. Automatic payments get made every time a bill is received, without requiring you to approve the payment each time. You can choose to pay the full amount of the bill, the minimum amount due or a fixed amount each month. In addition, you can choose to receive an email alert if the payment amount exceeds a specified amount.
