The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has a long tradition of reinvesting in the communities we serve. We do this through a combination of Bank sponsorships and grants from The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust.
Requests that are promotional in nature are typically funded through Bank sponsorships. We are particularly interested in collaborative opportunities that lend support to local organizations in the communities we serve. Although preference may be given to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, this is not a requirement for Bank sponsorships. Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis, and a minimum of three months lead time is recommended.
Grants: Requests that are philanthropic, meaning the requested funds are directly applied to the organization’s good work with no direct benefit to the Bank, are funded through the Foundation. Organizations applying for Foundation grants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits within Cape Cod Five’s service area. Requests are reviewed quarterly, and applications must be received on or before the Foundation’s published deadlines in order to be considered.
Educational Mini-Grants: The Foundation also awards Educational Mini-Grants for curriculum-based programs. Grants of up to $500 for are available for public school teachers in the communities we serve. Applications are accepted August through October, notifications are mailed in December and grants are awarded in January of the following year.
