Cape Cod 5’s Online and Mobile Banking settings allow you to complete a number of tasks: 

  • Change your Username and Password. 
  • Update your contact information. 
  • Select Cape Cod 5 accounts to hide or show in your Online or Mobile Banking Dashboard. 
  • Check when and where specific devices have accessed your account. 
  • Reset two-factor authentication (this is the added security layer that is presented when logging in from a new device or browser).

 

 

Change Password
You may need to change your Online Banking and Mobile Banking passwords for personal or security reasons.
Use the following steps to change your Password.

If you’re using Online Banking:
  • Click on your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Select Settings > Security.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (or “hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings > Security.

If you’re using Online Banking:
  • Click Edit next to your Password.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap Change password.

Enter your current Password and new Password.
If you’re using Online Banking, you’ll need to enter your new password twice to confirm it.
If you need assistance with your new password, click Show rules or tap Password rules to display the requirements.

Click/tap Save to confirm your Password choice.
You’ll receive an email notification confirming your Password has been changed.
You will need to enter your new password the next time you access Online Banking or Mobile Banking.
Change Username
You may need to change your Username for Online Banking and Mobile Banking for personal or security reasons.
Use the following steps to change your Username.

  • Click on your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Select Settings > Security.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (or “hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings > Security.

If you’re using Online Banking:
  • Click Edit next to your Username.
Cape Cod 5 will send a security code to you.
  • Enter your password and click Verify.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap Change username.
  • Enter your password and tap Submit.

Enter your desired Username and click/tap Save.
Your Username change is effective immediately.
You’ll receive an email notification confirming your Username has been changed.
You’ll need to enter your new Username The next time you access Online Banking or Mobile Banking.
Remove Trusted Devices
The first time you log in to Online Banking on a new device, you’ll have the option to make the device you are using a trusted device, which means you don’t have to receive and enter a Cape Cod 5 security code every time you access Online Banking from that device.
If you no longer plan to use that device, or you believe that it’s been compromised, you’ll want to remove it from your list of trusted devices.
When you log in to Mobile Banking for the first time, the device will automatically become trusted.
Use the following steps to remove a trusted device.

  • Click on your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Select Settings > Security.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (or “hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings > Security > Recently used devices.
A list of recently used devices appears, whether or not they’ve been set as trusted.

Click/tap Remove next to the device that you’d like to remove from the list.
The removed device will no longer appear in the list of recently used devices. If access is attempted on that device, you’ll need to enter a Cape Cod 5 security code to log in. You’ll be given the option to make it a trusted device again.
Reset Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication adds another layer of security to ensure only you are logging in and accessing your account.  This also would have been set up the first time you accessed Cape Cod 5’s upgraded Online Banking or Mobile Banking.
You’ll need to reset your two-factor authentication for any of the following reasons:
  • You get a new phone number.
  • You get a new primary email address.
  • You believe one of your devices has been compromised.
Use the following steps to reset your two-factor authentication.

  • Select Settings > Security.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (or “hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings > Security.

Click/tap Reset under Two-factor authentication.
A dialog window appears asking you to verify your request.

Click/tap Reset to confirm.
Your two-factor authentication will reset and you’ll have to re-enroll a contact phone number and email address the next time you access Online or Mobile Banking.
View/Edit Contact Information
Having the most up-to-date contact information can help us contact you quickly if needed and send confirmations to the the correct email address.
Use the following steps to verify and update your contact information.

  • Click on your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Select Settings > Profile.
The Profile screen will appear.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (or “hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings > your name.
The Profile screen will appear.

Click/tap Edit next to the information you’d like to update.
If you’re using Online Banking, you’ll receive a security code from Cape Cod 5 for verification purposes.

Enter your password and click/tap Submit.

Update the appropriate field(s).
Only North American formatted phone numbers (10 digits) will be accepted.

Click/tap Save to confirm the changes.
You’ll receive an email notification confirming your information has been changed.
Show/Hide Accounts
You may choose to hide one or more of your Cape Cod 5 accounts from view in Online or Mobile Banking. You may also need to show a hidden account.
Use the following steps to show/hide your accounts in Online and Mobile Banking.

  • Click on your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Select Settings.
The Settings screen appears.
If you’re using Mobile Banking:
  • Tap the menu Hamburger Icon (“hamburger”) icon.
  • Select your name > Settings.
The Settings screen appears.

Click/tap Cape Cod 5 under Accounts.
A list of all your eligible Cape Cod 5 accounts will appear

Click/tap the account that you’d like to show/hide.
A list of all your eligible Cape Cod 5 accounts will appear, as well as any alerts or cards associated with that account.

Tap/click the switches to make the desired changes.
  • Display activity and transactions – toggle this off to hide the account from the Dashboard and Accounts pages. The account will still be available for transfers.
  • Display in online and mobile banking – toggle this off to hide the account entirely.
