A Better ATM Experience is on the Way

We’re upgrading Cape Cod 5 ATMs with new technology designed to make everyday banking faster, easier and more convenient.

The new ATMs will feature a more responsive touchscreen, simpler on-screen navigation and contactless access using an eligible tap-enabled debit card. While each ATM is being replaced, it will be temporarily unavailable for several days. We appreciate your patience as we complete these improvements.

More Convenient Technology for Everyday Banking

  • Tap to Get Started
Hold your eligible contactless debit card near the contactless symbol to begin your transaction. Your card can remain in your hand.
  • A Smoother Touchscreen Experience
A significantly more responsive touchscreen and user-friendly interface will make it easier to navigate your transaction.
  • Choose Your Cash Denominations
You can now customize your cash withdrawals by selecting the denominations you receive, including available $100, $50, $20 and $10 bills. This added flexibility makes it easier to get the mix of bills that best fits your needs.
  • A Modernized ATM Experience
Updated equipment and more intuitive technology will provide a simpler, more convenient experience at Cape Cod 5 ATMs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Cape Cod 5 upgrading its ATMs?

We’re investing in new technology to provide a faster, easier and more intuitive ATM experience. The upgraded ATMs will include a more responsive touchscreen, simplified navigation and contactless access using an eligible debit card.

How long will my usual ATM be unavailable?

Each ATM is expected to be unavailable throughout the installation window listed above. The time required may vary by location, and an ATM may return to service earlier than anticipated. We will update this page as installations are completed or schedules change.

How can I find another ATM while my usual location is unavailable?

Visit our ATM and Banking Center locations page to find another nearby Cape Cod 5 ATM.

At locations with both a walk-up and drive-up ATM, the schedule above identifies which ATM is being replaced. Please check the schedule and on-site signage for current availability.

Will the Banking Center also be closed?

The temporary unavailability applies to the ATM being replaced and does not necessarily mean that the Banking Center is closed. Please review the location’s current hours before visiting. At some locations, installation work may temporarily affect a drive-up lane, parking area or access to part of the property.

How can I make a deposit while an ATM is unavailable?

You may use another Cape Cod 5 ATM, make your deposit inside a Banking Center during regular business hours or use Mobile Deposit for eligible checks.

Could I be charged for using another ATM?

Cape Cod 5 ATMs are generally the best option for avoiding fees associated with a third-party ATM. Fees may vary depending on the ATM you use and the terms of your account, and the owner of another institution’s ATM may charge a separate fee. Please consult your account information or contact us with questions.

How do I use the new contactless feature?

Look for the contactless symbol on the ATM. Hold your eligible tap-enabled debit card near the symbol, and then follow the instructions on the screen. You may be asked to authenticate on your phone and enter your debit card PIN.

Can I still insert my debit card?

Yes. The new ATMs will continue to include a card reader. The direction in which you insert your card may be different from the previous ATM, so please follow the image next to the card reader and the instructions on the screen. Do not force your card into the reader.

Why don’t I see all of my accounts on the screen?

The ATM can display your primary checking and savings accounts.

Will I need a new debit card or PIN?

No. The ATM upgrade itself does not require a new debit card or PIN. You can continue using your current active Cape Cod 5 debit card and PIN unless you have received a separate communication from us.

What should I do if the ATM does not recognize my card?

Confirm that you are following the instructions displayed on the ATM. When inserting your card, check the card image near the reader because its orientation may be different from the previous machine. When tapping, hold your card near the contactless symbol for a moment. For assistance, visit the Banking Center during regular business hours or contact Cape Cod 5 at 888-225-4636.
